Before the summer ends it is time to bring that old car restoration project into action. The welding job accounts to the majority of the costs since it requires professional help for the best result of welding, mechanical and electrical installation, precision body finishing, or metal fabrication.
Any cars, in principle, can be restored – classic cars, vintage cars, hot rods, street rods, trucks, muscle cars, European sports cars (Porsche, Ferrari), even bicycles and motorcycles, you name it!

Restoring a car can be tricky, imprinting some challenges of how to stand out without being loud or choosing tacky colors. Copper-plated parts, for instance, offer a great alternative to those who care about the little details.
StanceWorks portrays step by step a car restoration project of a classic 1969 W114 Benz by adding new-school touches while still paying homage to their heritage. In the restoration project, recessed copper panels with louvers and riveting was chosen. The project took nearly 150 hours of man labor poured into creating the hood and bumpers. For the body finish, the brushed steel body was clearcoated with Nyalic, a chemical clearcoat agent designed exclusively for corrosion protection. Under the hood the entire radiator, coolant lines and air system were fashioned in brass and copper.

The result of Benz restoration project is astonishing, a showcase of design and skills. Likewise, the iconic 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air opted to incorporate copper on the vehicle. Inspired by a box of old pennies, the exterior of the car opted for a two-tone cream-and-copper paint scheme, with the majority of the trim dipped in copper. “The idea behind the Lincoln theme had a few meanings,” explains the project manager. “I wanted to do a copper color, and the first thing that comes to mind is a penny. Next, I wanted something that represented history, because it’s such a historical car, and lastly, I wanted to show people what saving up all your pennies could get you!”.
