Aj z nožov, lyžičiek a vidličiek sa dá tvoriť umenie

Kuchynské nože, nožíky, vidličky či lyžice vyrobené z nerezovej ocele sa nemusia nevyhnutne používať iba na kuchynské účely. Dá sa s nimi vytvoriť výnimočné umelecké dielo a tu je zopár príkladov!

Farhad Moshiri, iránsky umelec, vytvoril dielo kompletne celé z kuchynských nožov. Tieto nože sú zapichnuté do steny, čím chcel poukázať na to, že veci v domácnosti sa ľahko môžu stať vražednou zbraňou. Návštevníci jeho výstavy môžu špekulovať o minulosti a budúcnosti užívania konkrétnych nožov, či už niekedy boli použité a koľko zeleniny či ovocia nakrájali. Je to provokujúce ale nesmierne zaujímavé umenie.

Sochy vytvorené z kuchynského náčinia

Gary Hovey si myslí, že lyžice, vidličky a nože sú viac než len kuchynské pomôcky vyrobené z nerezovej ocele. Jeho sochy zobrazujú veci, ktoré má rád a užíva si. Vytvára ich rezaním, tvarovaním, zváraním a formovaním nerezovej ocele do pôsobivých zvieracích sôch. Ryby, vtáky, medvede, mačky a dokonca aj veľryby sú zhotovené z príborov. Vidličky tvoria vrstvy peria či kožuchu, lyžice pridávajú okrúhle tvary a nože vytvárajú lesklý rovný povrch.

“Veľa ľudí si zo začiatku neuvedomuje, ako sú tieto sochy zhotovované. je zábavné sledovať ich tváre, keď zistia, že sa pozerajú na sochu z kuchynského riadu!” hovorí  Gary s úsmevom na tvári.

Knives, forks and spoons can be piece of art

Knives, forks, spoons, all of the utensils made of stainless steel are used not only in the kitchen. An amazing art can be done with that and here are some nice examples!

“Life is beautiful”

Farhad Moshiri, an Iranian artist, formed the installation entirely from kitchen knives. These knives are stabbed into the wall as he wanted to show how household items can serve as deadly weapons. Visitors could speculate about the history or future use of those knives, whether they are recycled or will be used once more to chop some fruits or vegetables. It is a provoking but at the same time interesting piece of art.

Sculptures made of utensils

Gary Hovey thinks that spoons, knives, forks are much more than just stainless steel utensils. His sculptures are about the things he enjoys, he is building them by cutting. welding and shaping stainless steel into impressive animal forms since 2004. Fish, birds, bears, cats and even whales are crafted from everyday flatware, forks create layers of feather and fur, spoons add rounded curves and knives produce a shiny flat surface.

“Many people don’t realize at first how the sculptures are constructed. It is funny for me to watch their faces when they discover those sculptures are actually made of flatware!” says Gary with a smile on his face.
