Do you own a water resistant watch? As consumers we are blessed able to select our watches from various brands such as Suunto, Tissot and Rolex to name but a few. These companies most probably use a service from a third-party QA provider who verifies the water resistance through an industry protocol. Today we do not have to be aware of the protocol, thanks to the Spanish watch manufacturer Festina who has taken the marketing of water resistant watches to a next level.
The company demonstrates the quality convincingly by packing the product into a transparent plastic bag filled with distilled water. The Profundo is 42mm wide in steel and water resistant to 200 meters. The dive-style watch has a rotating diver’s bezel and comes in orange, yellow, blue, and black dial colors. Inside the watch is a Japanese Miyota quartz movement. The divers strap is either silicon, plastic, or rubber.
The Festina Group was founded on 1902 in Switzerland. It was bought by a Spaniard Miguel Rodríguez in 1984. Today five watch brands Calypso, Jaguar, Festina, Lotus and Candino as well as two jewelry brands Lotus Style and Lotus Silver work under the brand.
Like Festina’s watches, every product can be packed in liquid by using a liquid packing machine. In Shanghai Metal Corporation we also trade Automatic Liquid Packing Machines for industrial use.
